Pine Crest School is a prestigious citadel of learning offering employment to hundreds of people, making waves all over the world and raising future leaders. The school is a crystallization of the founder’s fervent passion for education and a strong desire to make acceptable changes in our educational system characterized and bedeviled by lapses, incongruities and academic ineptitude.
Barr (Mrs) Hazel Chiejina had discovered, as early as the age of nine that she has an innate inextinguishable passion for teaching and learning and is particularly enamoured with the education of little children. Right from a very tender age, she had already started teaching younger children, devising and improvising ways of making school lessons simpler and more interesting with the use of a variety of instructional materials. Her overpowering passion for education intensified by a great feeling of dismay towards the substandard quality of education in the country also imparted to her children culminated in the establishment of Pine Crest School which was formally opened on the 8th of October 2001 with only four (4) children. The motto underpinning all the activities of the school has always been “Building the best for the total child”. The school, therefore, targets at providing a holistic, all encompassing and well-refined education which will raise children who have integrity and are morally sound, creative, proactive, self-reliant, resourceful and erudite.
